RESOLVED that the Council examine the relationship between its functions in providing major cultural, sports, entertainment facilities and activities, and the development of the local tourist industry; actively liaise with and assist the Government and the Hong Kong Tourist Association in providing earliest possible detailed information on facilities, exhibitions, programmes and activities, etc; and examine the feasibility of holding joint programmes and increasing guided tours in order to help develop the local tourist industry and thereby increase the usage rates of the Council's facilities and thus its revenue."
