MOTION

MR. RONNIE WONG Man-chiu, CHAIRMAN OF THE RECREATION SELECT COMMITTEE, moved the following motion:-

'RESOLVED that the Public Swimming Pools (Urban Council) (Amendment) Bylaw 1995 be made under Section 42AA(5) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

He said (in Cantonese):- Mr. Chairman, as Chairman of the Recreation Select Committee, I rise to move the motion standing in my name:

'RESOLVED that the Public Swimming Pools (Urban Council) (Amendment) Bylaw 1995 be made under Section 42AA(5) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

In April, the fees and charges for the use of Public Swimming Pools have been determined by the Standing Committee of the Whole Council. For the purpose of tidying up the legislation, it is necessary to amend the by-laws 10 and repeal by-laws 10A, 10B, 10C, 10D and 10E of the Public Swimming Pools (Urban Council) By-laws (Cap. 132 sub. leg.)

Against this background, Sir, I beg to move.
