STATEMENT BY DR. RONALD LEUNG DING-BONG, CHAIRMAN OF THE URBAN COUNCIL

He said (in English):—I would like to open this meeting by thanking you all, Fellow Councillors, for the confidence and trust you have placed in me by re-electing me as Chairman of the Council. I can assure you that I will continue to carry out my duty to the best of my ability and with the best interests of the Council at heart.

May I also take this opportunity to formally express a very warm welcome to our newly elected Members. I will mention them by names:
