HONG KONG URBAN COUNCIL

THE HONOURABLE HILTON CHEONG-LEEN (in English): I want a clarification. I did point out in the first paragraph that it is a short but well-prepared document on the existing systems but for most of the rest of my speech I said that there is a lot we ought to know about.

CHAIRMAN (in English): Fifteen Members have spoken which is 50% of those present, which I think is the first class and very interesting debate and some of the speeches can get a great deal of food for thought.

The question was put.

The motion was carried unanimously.

CHAIRMAN (in English): Now, the next move regarding this motion is that the mixed-up views expressed will be forwarded to the Government Secretariat in accordance with paragraph 32 of the Green Paper, page 8 of that particular paper. The Secretary will ensure that your views and helpfully those who have not written the speech beforehand will let him have the copies as soon as possible so that they can be translated and sent up to the Secretariat because they are required to be there by the end of this month.

ADJOURNMENT—4.50 p.m.

CHAIRMAN (in English): That concludes the business of today's meeting. The Council stands adjourned until Tuesday, 11 November 1986 at 2.30 p.m.
