'RESOLVED that the Council should resolve itself into the Standing Committee of the Whole Council under Standing Order 2.5

'RESOLVED that the Public Health and Municipal Services (Civic Centres) (Amendment of Thirteenth Schedule) Order 1986 be made under section 105M of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

He said (in English):- Mr. Chairman, as Chairman of the Culture Select Committee, I rise to move the motion standing in my name:-

'RESOLVED that the Public Health and Municipal Services (Civic Centres) (Amendment of Thirteenth Schedule) Order 1986 be made under section 105M of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

The purpose of this Order is to declare the Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre as a 'civic centre' under section 105M of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance by adding it to the Thirteenth Schedule. This will empower the Authority, in this case the Urban Council, to manage the Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre in accordance with the other relevant sections of the Ordinance.
