CHAIRMAN (in English):-Ladies and Gentlemen, the meeting is called to order.
MINUTES
The minutes of the meetings held on 4 and 6 September 1984 were confirmed.
PAPER
The following papers were laid on the table:-
(1) Report to the Urban Council by the Director of Urban Services and Secretary, Urban Council, for the months of August and September 1984.
MOTIONS
1. MR. KENNETH T. C. LO, CHAIRMAN OF THE RECREATION SELECT COMMITTEE, moved the following motion:
'RESOLVED that the Public Health and Urban Services (Public Pleasure Grounds) (Amendment of Fourth Schedule) (No. 2) Order 1984 and the Public Health and Urban Services (Public Swimming Pools) (Designation) (No. 3) Order 1984 be made under section 106 and section 42A of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'
(Mr. Augustine S. K. CHUNG and Mr. Peter C. K. CHAN arrived at 2.32 p.m.)
He said (in English):-Mr. Chairman, as Chairman of the Recreation Select Committee, I rise on the motion standing in my name:
'RESOLVED that the Public Health and Urban Services (Public Pleasure Grounds) (Amendment of Fourth Schedule) (No. 2) Order 1984 and the Public Health and Urban Services (Public Swimming Pools) (Designation) (No. 3) Order 1984 be made under section 106 and section 42A of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'
The purpose of the Orders is to include thirty-three new venues, to delete four existing venues and to re-name two existing venues in the Fourth Schedule (Public Pleasure Grounds) and at the same time to include one swimming pool and to re-name one swimming pool in the Fourteenth Schedule (Public Swimming Pools) of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.

2. MRS. E. ELLIOTT, CHAIRMAN OF THE Libraries Select Committee, moved the following motion:
RESOLVED that the Public Health and Urban Services (Designation of Libraries) (No. 5) Order 1984 be made under section 105K of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.
She said (In English):-Mr. Chairman, I rise to move the motion standing in my name:
'RESOLVED that the Public Health and Urban Services (Designation of Libraries) (No. 5) Order 1984 be made under section 105K of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'
The purposes of the Order are to delete the premises of the existing Waterloo Road library and to designate No. 5, Pui Ching Road, Homantin as a library and to amend the Third Schedule to the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.

MR. JOSEPH Y. S. CHAN, VICE-Chairman of the Libraries SELECT COMMITTEE, seconded (in English):-Mr. Chairman, I second the motion.

3. MR. HILTON CHEONG-LEEN, CHAIRMAN, URBAN COUNCIL, moved the following motion:
'RESOLVED that this Council welcomes the Draft Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the Future of Hong Kong.'
He said (in English):-I rise to move the Motion:
'RESOLVED that this Council welcomes the Draft Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the Future of Hong Kong.'
