MRS. E. ELLIOTT (in English):-Mr. Chairman, may I ask how it is unfair to the rest of us?

MOTION
(1) MR. KENNETH T. C. LO, CHAIRMAN OF THE RECREATION AND AMENITIES SELECT COMMITTEE, moved the following motion (in English):
"RESOLVED that the Pleasure Grounds (Amendment) By-laws 1977 be made under section 109 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132."
He said:-Mr. Chairman, I rise to move the motion standing in my name.
The amendments proposed to the Pleasure Grounds By-laws will remove the present restrictions on the amount of time tennis players can spend on hard surface tennis courts in pleasure grounds and, instead, will allow the Director of Urban Services to make appropriate rules to control duration of play.
The amendments proposed to the Schedule to the principal by-laws will delete the Lei Cheng Uk Tomb, as the Tomb has been designated as a museum, and will introduce fees for play on poly-turf pitches.
I now move that the Pleasure Grounds (Amendment) By-laws 1977 be made under section 109 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.
