With these remarks, may I have the pleasure in supporting the motion. (Applause.)

CHAIRMAN (in English):—Ladies and Gentlemen, I thank you for your very thoughtful speeches during the two days of our debate. This was a most stimulating exercise. I have now asked the Director of Urban Services and also the Secretary, Urban Council, to analyse your speeches. Where the contents refer to matters within the jurisdiction of the Urban Council, they will be studied by the department and put forward to the pertinent Select Committees; while on matters which are extraneous to the jurisdiction of the Urban Council but not outside your scope as public-spirited citizens, they will be referred to the appropriate Government departments for their consideration, and also to the Colonial Secretariat.
