HONG KONG URBAN COUNCIL

MRS. ELLIOTT:-About three weeks ago to Mr. CHUI.

MR. Wu:-Mr. Chairman, is the Council aware that the meat stalls only made the representation to the Colonial Secretariat in regard to the abattoirs' failure to deliver the meat they want at the required time?

CHAIRMAN:-I believe some of them may have, Mr. Wu. The Secretariat is also aware that the meat trade will not accept cooling

rooms.

MR. PETER C. K. CHAN:-Mr. Chairman, can this question be considered at the next meeting of the Select Committee, the meeting of these representatives and the time?

MR. LOBO:-We will certainly consider it.

MR. WU-Mr. Chairman, in view of the questions asked and the facts brought out, would you try your very best to see that the Colonial Secretariat speeds up the implementation of the Working Party's Report?

CHAIRMAN: --Indeed, this is of top priority, Mr. Wu.
