The White House announced tonight that President Truman and the British Prime Minis- ter, Mr Clement Attlee, had agreed to "go forward with energy in building up the military strength of the Atlantic community."
A formal statement issued after today's second meeting of the two leaders said also that the Prime Minister and the President were in full agreement on the necessity of carrying out ur- gently the plans of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
