NEWSLETTгk.

(LONDON RELAY).

Radio Hongkong's Studio Concert on Friday Mur: Legend Gorm) | evening, from 8.15 p.m., has as its artists Miss Caroline Ho (piano) and Miss Florence Pong] (soprano). Miss Pong was the winner in the NNER MUSIC. Girl's Vocal Section at the recent Hongkong Schools' Musical Festival.

On Thursday, a programme of music from the new British opera "The Olympians," will be broad- cast. The score is by Arthur Blin and the libretto by J. B. Priestley. The music was recorded in the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, by artists from the original production and the Covent Garden Orchestra, conducted by Karl Rankel. This will be on the air from 9.45 p.nt.

In this opera, the classical gods, Jupiter, Diana, Mars, Bacchus, Mercury and Venus, are shown wan- dering on the earth in the disguise of poor travelling players. In the course of their wanderings they find themselves in a small provencal town where they re- gain their divine powers in time to settle all the local problems.
