In that year between the months of May and September there will be held the Festival of Britain to celebrate a hundred years of British culture and in connection with this festival, foreign football teams are being invited to Belial,

Sir Stanley Reus, Secretary of the Football Association, is the man behind the invitation. He told the Festival Committee that he thought this would prove the an ideal opportunity of welcoming to England football teams from all over world, especially those who had been the hosts of Britain over the past years and to whom it had not been possible to repay the hospitality by a return match.
