Surprise Turn In Britain's Film Crisis
London, Nov. 8.-The British film crisis took A surprise turn tonight when the United Artists Corporation of America announced that it had made a $2,800,000 dent with a new British com- pany to sponsor independent film production in this country.
The deal announced tonight involves seven major pictures to be delivered during the next two and a half to three years to United Artists at an estimated production cost of $2,800,000.
