Zvolen, Aug. 29.---Crowds estimated at 100,000 packed the flag-decked square here today to hear President Klement Gottwald, in one of his rare public appearances, address them on the last day of the celebrations commemorating the Slovak revolt against the German in 1944.

For 90 minutes the throng stood in the hot sun listening to speech-making. They heard the President praise the Soviet Union and declare that Czechoslovakia "will never allow itself to be dis- rupted."

Then they surged forward to watch a parade of troops, tanks and motorised units of infantry- and artillery being reviewed by the President, Flights of aircraft of British and German types flew overhead as the President watched mobile troops drive past in American truckt.
