of throat trouble; most often the trouble is brought on by an infection.

As resuit of this Infection in the throat, two types of ab-. stesses may form. One of them necurs particularly in

children.

It is known as retropharyngeal abscess. This condition in due to an Infection of the lymph glands which are found in the back part of the throat. Thu second type is known as

peritonsillar obscess and de- velopa around or near the tissues in the tonalls.
