Russians Attempt Second Kosenkina Snatch

In Turkey

Ankara, July 21.--One night early last month in Adana, a Turkish secret policeman crept up to a Russian Embassy car carrying licence plate EA-0336, and stuck a sharp nail into one of its rear tyres. The resulting flat tyre gave the detec- tive time to procure help and prevent the Russian Embassy officials in the car from kidnapping the wife of a former Russian diplomat, very much wanted by the Soviet secret police.

The details behind the kidnapping attempt have just been revealed by Turkish officials. Newspapers here are headlining it as "the second Kosenkinn case.

The new "Kosenkina" is Mrs Sanoyber Karyagdi, In the 1947 official register of foreign diplomats and their families, she was listed as Madume_Gassunov, wife of the Second Secretary of the Soviet Embassy.

Then come the kidnapping attempt. The Russian Embassy car had been trailed all the way from Ankara and, after putting the nail in the tyre, the Turitishi detective went for help. By the time the Russian located their woman the Turks were ready
