Inter-Services Cup Won By Army

By "SIDELINER"

Army won the Inter-Service Challenge Cup when the finals of the Hnogkong Inter-Services Open Boxing Championships for 1949 were held at the China Fleet Club last evening before a huge and enthusiastic andience. Four semi-final matches preceded the Championship bouts and all matches were keenly contested, three being won by the knockout route and one on default when, a conter- tant sprained his thumb in a mix-up.

At the conclusion of the bouts, Air Commodore Davies presented the prizes to the winners and runners-up at each weight and the Inter-Services Challenge Cup to the Army who won with 22 points, Royal Navy being second with 6 points and RAF third with 5 points.
