An extensive study has been carried out by Dr Krasno and bis co-workers. on more than 350 patients, using penicillin dust and, under his direction, a simple ap- paratus for administering the dust has been devised.

Cold Symptoms

Of the 350 patients, about two- thirds had infections of the respira- tory tract, and the majority had symptoms of a cold. The great majority of the remainder had in- fections of the lung. A few were given the penicillin dust ns a pre- ventive against infection, before and after operations. The lung.
