World Bank Ready To Support President Truman's "Bold Plan"
Washington, Jan. 24-The President of the World Bank, Mr John McCloy, has announced that the Bank has enough funds at its disposal to partici- pate immediately in President Truman's proposed world co-operation of free peoples.
He added, however, that few of the "o-called backward and misery-ridden areas of the world" were in a position to accept-immediato financial aid.
Mr McCloy said in an interview: "Under-developed areas need help in the form of technical advice and skill more than dollars."
