Here's a tested recipo for marmalade coffee cake with an onriched biscuit dough as its foundation. which makes It time-saving and, low in cost.

Marmalade Coffee Cake

2. cups sifted flour..

3 teasps. baking powder

1 teasp. salt

cup shortening

1⁄4 cup sugar

egg, beaten

1⁄2 cup milk

cup orange marmalade or fruit jam

Sift together sified flour, baking powder and salt. Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add beaten egg and mix well. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture

with milk. alternately Spread-two-thirds of the dough in Spread greased T-by-11-inch pan. marmolade or jam over the dough. Thon roll remaining third of the dough one-fourth inch thick and cut into strips one-half inch wide, Lay strips diagonally across marmalade to look like lattice, tucking ends down on the sides of the coffee cake. Bake in moderate oven, 375 degrees F., for 30 minutes. Recipe makes one coffee cake.

3 tbsps, confectioners' sugar

1 teasp, cinnamon

2/3 cup cinnamon
