Britain's Golf Nurseries To Have More Solid Backing

London, Nov. 30-In prowar years the British Boys and Girls' Golf Champion- ships, without in any way having offical status from the ruling bodies of men's and women's golf, played a notable role in the way of being nurseries for senlor golf.

Both junior efents had regular challenges from overseas, and while boys ́ from European countries did not meet with success, a young American, S. Scheftel, took the boys' title out of the country in 1938. :
