WHITTLIN WONDER-Using a 10 cent life, discarded crates and wood scraps, and a little glue, Marshall M. Smith, of Dannapolis, North Carolina, has fashioned these two unique model cathedrals. The job took 17 months.

CEMETERY SITE—The wreckage of this plane fles amid the tombstones of Mission Burial Park, San

· Antonio, Texas, where it crashed. The pilot of this Fairchild PT-28, and the passenger, both of Galveston,

escaped injury. It is believed the plane crashed when it ran out of gasoline.
