In any event, the first step in the treatment is for the dentist - to - re- move deposits from the teeth, using all possible care and gentleness.
There are some who have sug- gested that penicillin be injected Into the upper and lower jaws. How- ever, equally good results seem to be obtained by giving the injections deep into a muscle.
