LIGHTS FOR THE BIG ONE-New York's Idlewild, the world's largest airport, has been opened for familiarisation and ferry lights. Commercial flights are expected to begin this month, but the airport will not be dedicated until July 31, when a formal ceremony will be held in conjunction with an International air show. When in full operation, the field will be able to handle 1,000 planes a day.
