PRISON SENTENCES FOR BANK CLERKS

Plead Guilty To Forgery

CONSPIRACY STORY

Carlos Jacinto Pintos, 20, clerk of the Hong- kong Bank, was sentenced to six years' hard labour, and Cheung Yuk-shat, alias Joseph Osman, clerk of the Hongkong Bank, and Louis Francisco d'Azevedo, clerk of the Mercantile Bank, were each sentenced to five years' hard labour at the Criminal Sessions this morning for forgery and uttering a forged docu- ment.

All three pleaded guilty to the charges before the acting Chief Justice, Mr Justice Williams.
