That business throughout the year 1947 on their coastal run had been exceedingly poor and, that they had only been able to operate the 85 Hai- yang, and had been holding the Haitan in reserve against any possible improvement, was reported by Mr S. T. Williamson, Chairman, at the Annual General Meeting of the Douglas Steamship Co., Ltd., this morning.
