SEEING NEW YORK-Martine Carroll, French actress who recently arrived in the United States, visits a New York night club with clrcus official John Ringling North. He and the blonde Parisienne are reportedly engaged.
SUPERFORTS IN THEIR COCOONS-In 1946 the U.S. Air Force was busily engaged in finding a method of storing B-29 Superforts so they would not deteriorate. An experiment was made by covering them with vinylite plastic. Here the original model is being de-cocooned and the aircraft will be put into flying condition to study the "bugs" that might have developed.
ILLEGAL GOODS-A surprise rald recently on the small Korean community in Kamata, Japan, near Tokyo, yielded a large haul of illegal sake, rice and tyres. Approximately 100 uniformed and plain-clothes policemen rounded up 14 men and women who were illegally making unrefined sake. Ten trucks were needed to haul the confiscated goods away.
INSIDE JOB Here's a new wrinkle for the great outdoors-displayed indoors--at San Francisco's Sports, Travel and Boat Show, While Jerry Kinney fishes old style from a boat in the casting tank, above her hovers the fisherman of tomorrow. Pilot Jay Demming manoeuvres his helicopter over the water to play out his line, then will fly to the water to net his catch.

SAY SOMETHING-Model Christine Germans looks straight into the eye of the macaw perched on her shoulder. Picture was made on a visit to the Parrot Jungle, a hangout for local macaws in Miami. The birds are well trained and are quite friendly.

DOG TO DOG-The main feature of the 1948 Los Angeles Kennel Club'e All- Breed Dog Show was the "Dog to Dog" presentation of the cups. The trained French Poodle, Scheherazade, Fight, trotted to the various winners with the cup in his mouth. At left, Pedro walts anxiously for his award.
