U.S. Asks Fighting To Be Stopped Immediately
Laké Success, May 17.-The United States declared today that the situation in Palestine was a "threat to peace" under the Charter of the United Nations and called on all Governments to stop the fighting immediately.
The statement was contained in a resolution which Mr Warren Austin, the American delegate, presented to the Security Council today.
He asked the Council to declare the Palestino situation a "threat to peace" and to call on all govern. ments involved to cease fighting immediately.
