Washington, May 10.-The Army endorsed today a plan to put the Japanese textile indus try back on its feet with U.S. cotton and wool.

The Hague, May 10-Mr Winston Churchill, Britain's wartime Prime Minister, speaking at the closing stages of the Congress of Europe here to- night. declared: "I think we may congratulate ourselves on the success of a remarkable adventure. Agreement on the essentials of human society and freedom will make our gathering a success. Dia- agreement will make it a failure.”
