TWO University of Chicago professors have. Tonbarked on the first archaelogical expedi

They are. Robert J. Braidwood. Assistant Professor of Old World Prehistory and Anthropo- logy, and Donald E. McCown, research associate in the University's Oriental Institute.

Their route lies from New York to Greece and thence to excavatlón sites in Iraq and Iran. Braidwood, who will be making his seventh Asiatic oxcavation, will travel to the site of an' ancient mound at Qara Yitagh in Iraq, where he will make camp..

McCown, will work at Iran at the head of the Persian Gulf south of Alw. He will travel over a section of Iran jooking for mounds which might prove interesting.
