Stratford-on-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, will be the meeting place from August 1 to 9 of folk duncers from all parts of England. They will arrive to attend the Stratford- on-Avon Folk Dance Festival, arranged by the English Folk Dance and Song Society.

varlous villages will, participate. One of the teams comes from Bampton in Uxfordshire, where folk dancing has been taught from generation to generation for at least 500 years.
