Poland Undecided
Paris, July 7.
TUESDAY, JULY 8, 1947...
Politicians and diplomata in most European capitals were busy today clarifying their countries'- attitude towards Saturday's Paris conference on the Marshall plan for economic aid to Europe. Czecho- slovakia was the latest country to announce a definite acceptance.
M. Pavlov, Soviet Ambassador to Belgium, called on M. Paul Henri. Spaak, Belgian Prime Minister, to hand him a memorandum containing the Soviet views on the conference, dispatches from Brussels said. It was later authoritatively stated that Belgium and Holland have jointly agreed to

Facilitating Return Of Businessmen To Japan
London, July 7.
The Government is prossing for settlement of the details.Involved in the reopening of private trade with Japan, and it is hoped that the first British businessmen, representing essential services such as banks, shipping and - insurance, will leave for Japan shortly, Mr J, W. Belcher, Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade, stated in a Parliamentary reply today.
Mr Belcher was replying to the Conservative member, Mr Stanley Prescott, who complained that British in- dustrialists were dissatisfied with the arrangements made so far for the resumption of trade.
Businessmen going to Japan, Mr Belcher said, would be able to travel within metropolitan Japan on business affairs as freely as the transport situation allowed, but shortage of accommodation might limit the number of places at which they could stay.
Currency arrangements were still under discussion with other Governments concerned, he added.--Reuter.
