Russian Geologists Discover Large Oil Reserves In Urals

Soviet geologists have discovered "colossul” reserves of oil in the mineral rich Ural mountains, Russin's new industrial frontier.

The discovery was unnounced recently following the completion of exhaustive tests in the new, Industrial region, nearly 1,000 miles east of Moscow.

Exploratory wells were sunk in the Devonian struta last summer, and since then geologists have been working to confirm their surprising discovery.
