M. Vyacheslav Molotov, Soviet Foreign Minister, to-day agreed to the proposal of the United States Secretary of State, General George Marshall, to exchange information on China by lotter, with copies supplied to the Chinese Government.

This method, M. Molotov said, was "not entirely satis- factory" as both General Marshall and the British Foreign Minister. Mr Ernest Bevin, had spoken in favour of informal conferences when the matter was first discussed by the Council of Foreign Ministers.
