·CORRESPONDENT

LONDON, Sept. 28.-Lending up to the dramatic events of this week- end in Czecho-Slovakia is the long story of the battle to suppress the Czechs fought by an aging German diploma of the old. school. (Baron von Neurath) who tried vainly to work through Nazl methods though he was not himself an original mem- ber of the Nazi Party.

He was made an honorary member of the Black Guard in 1937. Von Neurath's realgnation this week-end

is his second great failure. His first

failure was his innbility to retain his post as Foreign Minister in Hitler's Gavernment.

to the New York-Philadelphia refining area.

The pipe-line would handle 250,000 barrels of oil daily from the Texas and Louisiana fields by way of Illinois. Eleven large Enmity With Ribbentrop oll firms drew up the agreement for the construction.
