Racing fans, I am sure, have been patiently waiting for the resumption, but it is obviously not to be expected that all the candidates will be running up to their best form after a holiday in the pastures.
However, there were fireworks at Happy Valley last Saturday, and a few "dress rehearsal" gallops clevated the eye-brows of those carly birds sitting on the rails.
The feks are likely to be up
to full strength as entries have!

THE AUSTRALIAN Subscription Ponies Autumn Plate has attracted no less than 25 nominations, but I have seen much bigger entries before only to be disappointed in the end with a small field.
