Lack of Practice

Pairs Semi-Finals On Sunday

FROM THE POINT OF VIEW of three teams in the

First Division and seven in the Third, the League was

over when they finished their matches last Saturday. But interest is as keen as over in respect of the relegation problem in the First Division and the championships of

the Second and Third Divisions.

Three teams are in danger of going down into the Second Division, these being Recreio "B", Kowloon B.G.C. "B" and Civil Service C.C.

SHOWING a definite lack of practice, H. A. Alves and F. V.

Of the three, Recreio "B" are! V. Ribeiro, Pairs champions of last year, were eliminated in in the best position and can only be affected if they lose all the quarter-finals of this year's five points in their last match championship when they met of the season against Kowloon S. R. Solina and K. M. Omar C.C. and if the Civil Servants at the Kowloon B.G.C. yester-win all five against Kowloon day. - The Cragengower pair Docks.

Alves and Ribeiro had a had spell over the middle heads when from the 8th to the 14th Solina and Omar chalked up a total of nine shots to make the score then 17-4.

Referees'

Classes

E results of matches in Second Division last week have

ensured an extremely interesting

and

ending to the championship. Kow- Joon Football Club, the leaders, won 4-1 against Hongkong C.C.

the on

only team in a Kowloon Tong, the position to challenge the lenders, beat Taikoo Docks on all three rinks. Thus Kowloon Tong are

now two points behind Kowloon only F.C. with the mat

match between them to decide the championship. If Tong can beat the Foot- Kowloon Tom ballers by 4-1, they will snatch a last-minute success.

But this match will be decided on the Kowloon FC, green and it will be a tall order for Kowloon Tong to keep the home side down to only one point. It should prove| to be one of the best matches of the season in this division.
