Chungking Institutions Bombed Yesterday
CHUNGKING, Aug. 22 (Central News). Continuing their airblitz on Chungking 81 Japanese planes to-day subjected the wartime capital to one of the most indiscriminate bombard- ments of the season. Concentrating on the suburban cultural and residential districts, the raiders dropped tons of bombs, destroying some 200 buildings and houses, including schools.
