Important Task Of Rushing Aid To The Soviets
(By "Reuter'?" Diplomatic Correspondent) LONDON, Aug. 20-The main issue before the anti-Axis front to-day is to get help to Soviet Russia in the fullest possible measure with the least possible delay.
This was one of the principal subjects discussed at the historic meeting in the Atlantic between Mr Churchill and President Roosevelt, and it will be the task of the Three-Power meeting shortly to be held in Moscow to tackle the task from a practical and businesslike standpoint.

The battle along this vast j area from the Gulf of Finland to the Black Sea may be described as a desperate German attempt to prevent that stabilisation at which the Russians aim.
Whether the Gomel drive is ultim- ately Intended to lend support to the. German
troops in the Smolensk sector or on the contrary for the zouthward drive along the left bank at the Dnieper remains to be seen, but it is myway part of the over the pluce" loetles the Germans are trying out, that is to say, an at-
