IN JUST OVER A MONTH, nets in most Clubs will be raised and once again cricket will get into its stride with, it is hoped, a little greater enthusiasm than was shown last year. In many ways, the falling off of interest-except in the Kowloon Cricket Club-is rather odd, for there are no outstanding reasons for it. Volunteer and other military duties have caused a cer- tain amount of interference, but not to the extent that the general attitude would indicate.
I would place no blame in any particular quarter, but to most cricketers it is obvious that now, if ever, is the time for the
