Girl's Smile Hides Grief

CAROLE KENYON, 18, sings and dances at a West End night club entertaining lonely people of war- time London,

Few of her audience know that the beautiful smiling girl is lonelier than any of them.

Her mother was killed by a bomb in a recent raid.

Her father in dead. Her brother is a prisoner of war In Germany. Carole went home from the Cabaret Club, Benk-street, London, W. early one morning to find her mother dead and her home wrecked. But the same night she was at the club again.

Heartbroken, she told the manager: "I must try to carry on,"

Mr Hiton, 71 Gets Decree

MR ALLEN HILTON, at the age of 71, is free to marry again. Recently in the Divorce Court Mr Jusilce Hodson granted him a decrec nisi.

And, because Mr Hilton wishes to marry again, the judge said he thought it a proper case for expedi tion of the decree absolute.

Usually a person granted a decree nisi has to wall six months for the deerce absolute.

Mr Hilton, who lives in Back Wallington-street, Lindley, Hudders Geld, married in 1891 and had three children.

His case was that hla wife neglect- ed the home, visited pubile houses with men, and deserted him 39 years

ago.
