DECISION TO POSTPONE the combined European Y.M.C.A.-V.R.C. and Combined Chinese Clubs swimming gala from July 26 to August 9 has been confirmed at a mecting of Club representatives,

There have been no changes in the list of events, and these have already been published.

On August 2, the V.R.C. holds an intra-Club gala. All events are on handicap.

BIGGEST UPSET of the Lawn Bowls Championships to date was the surprise vic- tory of C. Gowland and Mc- Cutcheon over M. R. Abbas and A. R. Dallah 23-17 in the Pairs competition at the Hongkong Football Club yesterday. The consistent form of the winners put an end to the hopes of the I.R.C. pair, who were considered by many to have had a chance for the title.
