Tournament Progress Impaired By Weather One-sided League Fixtures

THE WET WEATHER of the last few weeks has played havoc with bowls in the Colony, and not only has progress in the Loague been retarded but in the championships as well. Last week was a complete wash-out and greens generally wore so sodden that all but one match in the League programme were cancelled.

The Open Pairs tournament, which always takes the longest time to complete, has been affected most by the rain... Only about half the matches in the first round have been played at the time of writing, and unless the weather allows the postponed games to be decided this week, I very much doubt whether the second round draw can yet be made for some days.

permitting, the

second round of the Open Swimming Rinks will be decided on Sunday.
