Finance to adapt the administration of currency CHUNGKING, June 17 (Central News). Efforts of the and finance to wartime needs since the outbreak of Sino-Japaneko hostilitica in 1937 were reviewed by Dr H. H. Kung, Vice-Presi- dent of Executive Yuan and Minister of Finance, in a speech at the opening ceremony of the Third National Financial Confer- ence yesterday.

According to Dr Kung, the Minis- try has conselentiously executed the following ten-point programme:

1. In regard to rational expendi- ture strict economy has been praz tised. At the same time positive steps have been taken to push econo- nue reconstruction and develop na- tural resources.

2. In regard to taxation reform, Income tax, inheritance tax and war- ilme excess profit tax have been ine stituted in order to build up a sound, direct taxation system.
