A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, following a visit to the Shumshuipo Barracks to watch a Middlesex Boxing Tournament, I wrote on the initiative that Middlesex sportsmen had shown in the making of their roller-skat- ing rink. It was the only one in Hongkong, and it was then advocated that as a civilian enterprise it would also prove popular.
