Six new Boeing 42-ton. super-Clippers, ordered by `Pan-American Airways, are being prepared, months ahead of their original schedule, to take their plate on the world's airways before the end of this year.

Construction on the Clippers is being accelerated for two good reasons. One is to clear the Boeing plant for production of flying fortresses. Equally important, even wartime measure, is to use these ships to expand trans-Atlantic passenger and mail service.
