Dr Paul Monroe, aged professor of education of the Teachers College, Columbia University, has arrived in Hongkong to attend the annual con- ference of the Board of Trustees of the China Foundation for the Promo. lon of Education and Culture, of which he is a member,
Dr Monroe revealed on Tuesday that there were about 20 Chinese college graduales being trained in three of the United States largest automoblie factorles, Ford, General Motor and Chrysler plants, in auto- motive engineering under the spon- sorship of the China Foundation. The training is from six months to one and a half years, and after its completion the student is entitled to a degree, sometimes a doctorate, from his university,
