Chinese Check Advance Along Kiangsi Front
CHUNGKING, Mar. 21 (Central News).-Fighting in north- ern Kiangel continues unabated, but the Japanese advance is being steadily checked.
As the result of n vigorous Chinese counter-attack launched on March 18, the main Japanese force attacking Kaoan has been dispersed.
Besides recovering Chengchienkai, a strategic point north of Kaoan, the Chinese also inflicted heavy casualties on the Japanese who are now retreating towards Wuchincho.
The Japanese detachment which; pushed towards Iwelfu west of Kaoon on the morning of March 19 has been intercepted by the Chinese and is being engaged in severe fight-
