Canuckettes Prepare Sunday's Stars

For Grand Finals

(By "Ball Fan")

CLEAN-CÚT yet decisive wins were recorded in Hongkong's two major softball loops at the Kowloon ball diamond as leading teams consoli- dated their pay-off spots in an, anticlimax before noxt week's all-important grand finale.

The marauding Mohawks lambasted a weak playing Filipino Club 19-0, while Dave Leonard's league leading St Joseph's ballhawks continued up on top with a 8-1 win over the youthful Cyclones. The "bottoms-up" Canucks took another shellacking as they bowed to the C.B.C. clan 8-2.

Kowloon G. C. Probably At Sheungshui On March 29: Care Of Clubs During Rain

(By "Birdie")

THE RETURN MATCH between the Coun- try Club and the Kowloon Golf Club will, in all probabilities, be hold at Sheungshui on March 29. Though the first match was played on the New Territories course, March 29 is the only date avail- able for the return match, and, unfortunately, the morning of that date is the time when the Kow- loon Rifle Ranges will be in use.

Rather than confine the match to an afternoon, therefore, it is proposed and will doubtless be accepted "that the game be held again at the Country Club.
