The rain on Saturday last washed out all the cricket and most of my notes. I was not aware of it, but apparently a scratch teám of K.C.C, which managed to total nine members in all, took on the Sappers on Sunday. The only two people who did anything for K.C.C. were Anderson (82 not out) and Mackay (67).

Their 8 wickets produced 193 runs. The best bowl- ing figures returned for the Sappers were those of Denyer which read 9.7-1-45-5. The Sappers' batting however went to bits. Tropp got 22 not out. Ratcliffe 12, and the whole side were out for 62.
